The WEST SILVER CLOUD property: a Midas-style gold-silver
target
Ivanhoe Mining District,
Elko County,
Nevada, USA
The
West Silver Cloud gold-silver property is a Midas-style gold-silver
target comprising 38 unpatented lode mining claims totaling
approximately 760 acres and located 32 airline miles northeast of Battle
Mountain, Nevada.
The
property is situated along the Northern Nevada Rift ("NNR"), a
Miocene-age structural zone that hosts several past producing, currently
operating, or future mines. The largest of these are Newmont’s
Mule Canyon and Ken Snyder mines
and the Great Basin Gold – Hecla Ivanhoe deposit, currently in
development.
Exploration to date includes surface prospecting and geochemical
sampling of altered bedrock on identified fault structures. The
observed surface indications are similar to the subtle features that are
found above high-grade vein systems in the Ivanhoe and Midas districts.
Recommended exploration work consists of geophysical surveys (magnetics,
gravity, and CSAMT) to further define possible drill hole locations,
followed by core drilling to test targets at depth.
Geophysical work is budgeted at US$167,000 and drilling is budgeted at a
minimum of US$783,000.
