Both the Taurus and Casino porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum deposits have similar host rocks, mineralization/alteration styles, and intact, un-glaciated supergene enrichment zones.

Access can be via Chicken (helicopter base), Tok (fixed wing aircraft to either of two airstrips on the Taurus), or road.

The Taurus remains relatively un-explored even though previous work has resulted in significant intercepts of copper, gold (not analyzed until after 1978) and molybdenum in drilling.
