The DOME property:
a Midas-style gold target
Izzenhood Mining
District, Lander County, Nevada, U.S.A.
This contiguous block of 19 unpatented
lode mining claims totals 380 acres and is located in the Sheep Creek
Range, 20 miles north-northeast of Battle Mountain.
The Dome property is a grassroots
prospect situated along the Northern Nevada Rift (“NNR”), a Miocene-age
structural zone that hosts several current and past producing mines, and
one major development project. The largest of these are Newmont’s Mule
Canyon and Midas (Ken Snyder) mines, and Great Basin Gold–Hecla's
Ivanhoe-Hollister deposit that is currently in development.
Exploration to date includes surface
prospecting and geochemical sampling of altered bedrock. The observed
surface indications are similar to subtle features found above
high-grade vein systems in the Ivanhoe and Midas districts and
additional exploration is warranted.
The recommended exploration program
consists of Phase 1 geophysical surveys (magnetics, gravity, and CSAMT)
and geochemical soil sampling to define drill locations. Contingent upon
Phase 1 defining suitable exploration targets, Phase 2 work should
consist of core drilling to test Phase 1 targets at depth.
Phase 1 work is budgeted at
approximately US$120,000 and the Phase 2 drilling is budgeted at a
minimum of US$588,000. For details, please see the latest
NI 43-101-compliant technical report,
dated Nov 06.
